5-Day Chalbi Desert Safari

Day 1: Nairobi to Ngurunit

Depart early from Nairobi and drive north past Nanyuki and the beautiful farmlands of Timau. Stop over for lunch in Nanyuki or Isiolo town. Proceed south to Ngurunit, an oasis surrounded by the Ndoto Mountains and Matthew ranges. This is one of the most beautiful places in Northern Kenya.

Day 2: Ngurunit to Loiyangalani

After breakfast, drive south to Loiyangalani, passing the Turkana Wind Farm. In the afternoon, visit the El Molo people living by Lake Turkana, 100% dependent on the lake for survival. You can also visit Southern Island by boat. Enjoy an evening sundowner by the lake.

Day 3: Loiyangalani to North Horr

Spend the morning relaxing in Loiyangalani before heading to North Horr, a beautiful oasis at the edge of the Chalbi Desert. Enjoy the adventurous drive through the rocky desert. In the evening, relax under the stars.

Day 4: North Horr to Marsabit

In the morning, embark on a desert cruise to Marsabit, where you'll stop for lunch. Then drive up to the mountain to a beautiful lake paradise, where you can witness animals coming to drink in the evening.

Day 5: Marsabit to Nairobi

After breakfast, visit Marsabit town and shop for souvenirs before departing for Nairobi. Stop at Nanyuki for lunch and proceed to Nairobi to arrive in the evening.
